Who can reply here and what is this rating stuff?

I noticed that guests have been trying to reply to some of our article discussions and getting error messages. The decision was made to allow guest replies to these topics, but we would like to encourage all guests to register here at The Floor Pro Community in order to take full advantage of the benefits of membership in one of the finest floor covering forums on the Internet.

This might be the proper location for me to encourage all that register to give us a little information in your profile. We don't need your Social Security number or credit card numbers, or even your real name for that matter. It's just nice to look at a profile and know what area of the world the member is in and what his occupation or area of expertise is.

I concur with Bud. Giving a little info legitmizes posters, unless they have something to hide...

I should probably confess that my profile right now is not a good example because it is loaded with all the information I could stuff into the limited space that the programming will allow. I did that to attract search spiders in an effort to get this site more recognition on the Web. I'm not suggesting that everyone do the same type of hype but on second thought - maybe that is the thing to do.
