Tile Recommendations

hi all!

my hubby is a diy man and we're looking to replace our kitchen floor. the kitchen is in the middle of our home with lots of traffic going thru with 3 teens, a dog, friends etc!

We decided to put ceramic tile down. hubby knows how to do this as he done so before. I'd like to have something a little bit fancy(for example, perhaps two colors that go well together. I've seen a light tan color that goes well with a gray blueish colored tile). I just dont want the standard boring tile. I also want easy to clean without nooks & crannies and a dark grout.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to go in the PA area
(Outside philly area) other than Home Depot to get tiles unique/different styles and or the best recommended brand names out there??

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!

Meesh

Re: Tile Recommendations

Actually, I can give you the name of some decent tile that you can FIND at HD, that would fit what you're describing. They carry Daltile's lines, and in Dal's Ridgeview line, Look at their RD-01 or Rd-02 (tan) and RD-06 (blue).

Daltile - Ridgeviewâ„¢ Ceramic Tile

Re: Tile Recommendations

Once you find the colors that interest you then to move away from boring you could entertain the many patterns and accessories that are available to you. Tile doesn't have to be square tiles layed in a square grid pattern. An experienced professional tile installer can offer plenty of ideas.

Since "hubby" feels qualified then search out some tile and decor magazines and get some ideas of what can be done.

In fact Bill Vincent can offer plenty of good ideas with the photos on his website. You are limited only by your imagination. You can click on Bill's website in his above post: Creative Ceramic & Marble.....
