NOTICE: CBS is looking to do a followup investigation
concerning those who've been hurt by the use of Stand N Seal, including
how those who were hurt initially, as well as those who've been ill from
the NON-recalled cans of product. If you're one of either of these two
groups, please contact either Rick Sallinger ( RSallinger@cbs.com ) or
Carisa Scott ( cdscott@cbs.com ).

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

I haven't personally been contacted by anyone new in about 6-7 months. That's not to say the danger doesn't still exist.

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

My husband was interviewed by CBS news about 4 weeks ago, but so far the interview has not aired. He was one of the unlucky ones who was permanently disabled by this product. It will probably be a very long process in getting any kind of compensation/justice out of the manufacturers, Home Depot, et al. In the meantime, I'm working two jobs to make ends meet, and I miss my husband. I say that because he's not the same guy I used to share my life with. This product has permanently altered our lives.

It could be worse. I know of atleast one victim of this crap who hasn't been able to work since it happened, and his house is now in foreclosure. As for the CBS story, it's being held up right now, because lawyers for one of the victims is requesting that they don't give the follow-up interview for legal reasons. I still think it'll go forward, though.

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

My husband also hasn't been able to work since this happened. Thankfully, I have one good job, and a so-so part time one, or we'd be in foreclosure also.
We were starting to wonder what happened with the interview, since we haven't heard anything.
I'll email CBS and see if I learn anything new.
By the way, Bill, thank you for staying on top of this. If it wasn't for all of your posting on the internet, I never would have found out anything on this product. It's because of you, that we located an attorney - Scott Callahan - and, with your diligence, we realized that there was something to pursue. When it first happened to my husband, I contacted an attorney in our area, and he said he wasn't interested!! I couldn't believe it....bet he's kicking himself now.....!
I just felt the need to tell you how much I appreciate your efforts....thank you.

You might check the following website, and possibly email Shawn (the webmaster):

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

Hello all....... you too Bill
I haven't been on top of updates at the web site I started Page 1
I too had my house go into forclosure thanks to the financial burdon from you know who. Needless to say I have been focusing on personal things. Now it is time to focus on getting the site up to speed. I have been trying to keep up with emails though that have been sent. I have allot of info I haven't posted yet. I'd say only 5-10% is up currently. I will be sorting through and updating later today, and will continue as often as possible. I'm sorry for the delays but providing for the Family has to come first, but I do check and answer emails a few times a week. Take care everyone, and I hope to visit this forum frequently now.
Sincerely, Shawn

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

Hi Shawn,

The next time you open the program you use to edit your site with, look for the part that says title (where you have Page 1 now) and change it to something like Stand 'n Seal Exposure Site. It will help with search engines and with posting addresses like you did above, where my forum software automatically turns your website address into a clickable link of your site title.

Hope that helps.

Actually, Shawn, YOU were the one I was talking about. I wish to GOD there was something I could've done to help.

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

For those of you in the Denver Area, the local CBS affiliate will be doing the first of a two part follow-up series tonight at 10 pm. As soon as it's up, I'll post the on line link to the story.

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

Here is a quote from the article last night from cbs news 4 Denver....

"I'm still alive," Walker said. "At times I wish I had died because I can't do anything in my life I used to be able to do."

"If I could get my hands on the people who did this I wouldn't have to worry about the rest of my life because they would be taking me to jail," Walker said.

Sorry Mr. Walker, but I'm first. I have said this since finding out about all of this. I would LOVE to meet these people.
