Maybe it's too early in the morning, but what's an "MDL"?

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

Hello Bill,
MDL is a multidistrict litigation. Basically what happens here is all the common facts from every case is heard. It saves the court time by not having to here the same information hundreds of times. Witnesses aren't pulled into court hundreds of times either. For instance, we know the President of Roanoke will be called in. This way he will only be called in once. On the Plantif side, I believe there was a panal of three Lawyer firms, I know two for sure. On the Defendents side, they will have their Army of Lawyers. I'm sure each company involved as well as all insurences involved.
Once everything is heard, the cases go back to their original Attorney where they will either settle or go to trial. Thats what I know about it in a nutshell. Here is a Q&A link.

I hope everyone is doing well,
Shawn

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

Hey Shawn--

As I said to the other poster, the best of luck to you all. I really hope this goes for you the way it SHOULD. God knows no amount of money could ever make up for what you've been through or what you WILL go through. But atleast it's something to help take care of bills that have piled up as a result of their negligence.

Good Luck.

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

Hi Bill,
They just had another hearing this past week, I believe Thursday. I haven't talked to my Attorney since then though. I believe they were setting a time table up for future hearings. It sure will be nice to be out of the dark on this all.

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

Hello all,
Time tables for the MDL's are set. The Judge rejected the Defendents time table, and went with ours for the most part. Justice is being served. From what I understand, he basically said MDL's have been known for being black holes and dragging out forever. He is determened to not allow it here. You have to love this guy. I will be doing updates to my site this week too. I hope everyone is doing better. I just wish some of you would be more vocal though. For instance, if you found certain medication is working or at least helping, for gosh sakes share the info with others. Let's help each other out. I plan on adding a page on my site regaurding meds too. You can always email me there so it can be included. As always, any information will be kept confidential.
Take care all, Shawn

Re: Stand and Seal Health Problems

Hi Shawn,

It has occurred to me that the name of your website could be confusing to someone that is coming onboard for the first time. The site as well as the email addresses may lead people to think they are contacting a company they want nothing to do with or that they feel may have harmed them in some way.

I wonder if the disclaimers shouldn't appear more frequently throughout the website.

If I hadn't been involved in this issue from the beginning I too would be confused as to exactly who I was dealing with at the website or by using the email adresses.

You have done an excellent job of getting the website in order, thank you for that.
