Need sealer recommendation for Old Chicago Split brick floor

I recently had an interior Old Chicago split brick floor laid in a new construction and have a lot of conflicting opinions on what type of sealer to use. The most common recommendation has been a BLP product called Mothane but I haven't been able to find much info online.

Would like to hear pros and cons of different products or types of finish. And any recommendations or advice will be greatly appreciated...

Was the sealer not included in the installation?

If I install a product that requires a sealer overall, I include it in the price.

Does the brick supplier have a recommendation? I would be more inclined to go with what they say.

Like previously said, I would check with the manufacturer first. They will havethe best advice.

Thanks for the responses...

Sealing was included with the installation. Like a lot of subs, he got off to a great start and did an excellent install. He then worked tile for a couple of weeks to let the brick job dry out before sealing it. He finished up a little early and wanted to finish the job to get paid but I wouldn't let him seal the brick because it hadn't had enough time to dry. It was also raining the day he wanted to do it. Anyways, I deducted the finishing cost from the job and sent him on his way. I plan to finish it myself in a couple of weeks after the brick has had plenty of time to dry. I don't want any white spots.

The guy I got the brick from is a BLP dealer and recommends Mothane. If I did it today Mothane is what I would use. I'm just looking for some additional thoughts, I know there's a lot of products out there.

Thanks again

There's much less risk going with their recommendation. If you do it correctly and something goes wrong, you've got an avenue there to complain.

I would imagine they are going to try and give you the best advice because you bought the materials from them and are a returning customer.
