Help ! I lost my taskbar and I can't get up!
I lost my start tool bar on my desk top. It does not even come back if I press the windows button on the keyboard.

Don, toolbar or taskbar (top or bottom of window)? If the taskbar, place your cursor at bottom of screen until you get a double headed arrow. Left click and drag it back up. Afterward, put your cursor on the taskbar and right click. Select "lock taskbar" and you shouldn't loose it any more

What were you doing when this happened.....do you still have anything at the bottom of your desktop? If Petes fix dosen't fix it for you , post back and let us know what version fo windows you are running .. In most cases the above fix should work ..

Nick, I don't really know what happened. I'm using XP the whole bottom task bar is gone. ( start ,clock and everything in between )I know how to go around the the the sides of the screen and look for the double ended arrow and that does not work.

Try this, Don: - Close all applications.
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Del, and then click Task Manager.
- In the Windows Task Manager application that appears, select New Task (Run) from the File menu.
- Type Explorer and click Ok.

glad to hear you were able to get it fixed Don , the site Jim posted is a good fix also , you just had the F virus .. if you loose it in the future , one of them should work ..
