So, once again I have to go back to my thermosealing question. Are you just putting a tiny little bead on?

Looks like he is Kyle, as fast as he is moving the glue gun. I've never found one that will put out glue that fast.

agree with DJ, that looks like my Orcon gun. It will put an amazing amount of glue out in a short amount of time. You'll have to get the answer straight from the star of the video, I'm afraid, Kyle.

It doesn't take a great amount of thermo to do the job. Also I'm sure he is using the Kool sticks and they are of a lower melting point than say Orcon's or Crain's.
Kool sticks are what should be used with the Koolglide
I also have the Orcon and Crain gun. Orcon to me is hotter also, I've never checked wattage to compare. The one thing I like about the Crain is the handle it gives me a place to wrap the cord when not in use.

Sounds good, I'm gonna order the orcon gun with koolsticks on my next order from shag tools. Gotta wait until my koolglide tape is running low before I place another order..

Yes it is the Orcon glue gun with the kool guide sticks. Were most of the people make there mistake is they put to much glue on the side.
Treat it just like you are latexing the seam, just fill the picks on the side, you should not see a build up of glue that is why I had them come up and touch it so they could feel the glue there and see just how much glue it takes.
That is why I like the peak buster tip the tip will drive it into the picks as you go down the side, just like you do with your fingers when you latex.
Thank you all for the kind words on the training it was raw and uncut, no 2nd takes what I did is what you got.

does the kool glide system bond the two sides together when you use their sticks? i.e. "weld"?

Yes it does. That is why it is important to use the Kool sticks as they are a low melt temperature like the tape. Matter fo fact it is the same thermo as on the tape.

I'm a tool freak too. I always had to have the new stuff first, so I could check it out.
Now its the old stuff last with the antiques.
