Re: Best and Worst for the Week
I hope that this is ok to post, It was not this week or even last week, but it was in Aug, this is the rug for the Irsay (Colts owner) suite in the new "Lucas Oil" Stadium in Indianapolis. funny thing is it is the only custom rug we have done for 2008 and it is the last one we have done... the picture is taken in my shop because I could not take pictures of the suite when it was installed...the security there is much like the airport. I am not much of a sports fan, but will say that the new stadium is something to see... I only hope that the millions of dollars that they spent to build it will get repaid without having to tax the entire state.... one side note.. the RCA dome that is going down that the colts played in since 84 has not even been paid for yet.... go figure
Chris
I did a rug of horse shoes also, not as big as yours, but the shoes had to face up so the luck didn't fall out. Cutomer had to tell me which way was up.
doing a job at the moment....... not good. pattern can not be achieved. can not, no matter how good you are will not happen. brintons. from india. narrow loom and the pple who sew it called manuf. they said lay it we are sending more to replace whole job...... ok, so i'm laying it now fresh pics from today. Dobby, you ever have problems like this? and if where did that product come from..... this carpet is garbage and not like the stuff we get from uk..... feels like it is still to fresh and wants to fall apart at sewn areas( had to open a long seam and heat weld it) been told 10 weeks i will be back to pull up and replace, at the moment they didn't offer a discount or anything similar, just said we are making new gear it will be there in 10 weeks for replacement.
same job differant pattern of carpet...... same feel on back like fresh latex that doesn't want to set. over here b4 i get it, goes to pple who sew it on there machines to scale then trucked to site where i take delivery etc.....so when i was stretching some, had to lat go on the power a bit cause the sewn seams wanted to let go, dodgy crap from india. (sorry more pics tomorrow)
Hey Mr. Strip and Dobby: Very nice work. Better you guys than us, we get to do commercial stuff like that overnight, so we leave it to the kids, are happy with residential retrofit instead. D&D

The work you guys do looks great wish we fitted the quality carpets you guys do over here in the uk but its cheap crap and it had to be done yesterday ha
looks like you guys get the time to do a good job propley i miss that over here but like i say its always a rush to get things done
Our buddy Flash spent better part of the last week installing a scarlett o'hara staircase (full caps, both sides, wide double bullnose at the bottom, slenders down in the middle and then widens out again at the top) upper hall with 117 pickets, basement staircase, well over 100 yards. His paycheque was cut before he could render an invoice. The shop paid him just over $500 for it.
