What's up with this picture?

This Polaroid picture is stuck to a bedroom window sill.... anyone know why I bother to do this?

It helps to put the room back together at the end of the job. A digital will also work.

Right ... there are two main reasons I do this. The other is so I can know where to hide any short boards or widely varied colorations in boards. I discuss all this with homeowners before I get started.

A digital photo does not work as well for this situation... no way for me to make a print as I am emptying out a room.

I've been using a digital camera for years. On good days my powers of observation and short term memory are bad, and on bad days (like now during allergy season) it is just atrocious. I've had a couple helpers that could remember every little detail, I just wasn't born with those particular brain cells.

I dated a girl for over a year and one day she turned around and asked me what color her eyes were. Not a clue. Relationship ended soon after. Coincidence?

Back when I was still living with the folks, Fed Ex called me to ask what color the house was since our address was out of sync. I had no idea. I had lived there a good 3 years. I went outside to check, it was brick.

Good idea Jerry .. I find sometimes even the customer don't remember where certain things were in the house ..

I take a pic with my 3mp camera phone of any damage or nicks in paint or damage to furniture before I will even touch a job. Too many times had somebody say we damaged something that we didn't. I have a pic log of every job before and after for the last several years. Priceless.

A 3 mp camera phone.... whew... I have a Motorola Razr phone and have never tried out the camera feature. I keep forgetting it will take pictures.

OOPS !! My bad. 2 mp moto krazr. Yer moto razr has a 1 mp camera and it is a snap to use. Samsung has a 3.2 mp cam/phone out and I got my eyes on it.
