subfloor good enough?

I have selected Konecto Sierra Susanville to install in my LR, hall and foyer. I am planning to do most of the removal of carpet and installation of Konecto myself. My brother-in-law will help (for $$) when I need him, though he's never installed this flooring. After pulling back some of the carpet, I see there's spaces about 1/3" between some of sheets of plywood. Should I fill this in with wood putty? or just lay down brown kraft paper as discussed in previous posts? Thanks, Donna

Hello and welcome, 1/3" isn't too bad to cover with the product you have picked but I would get some floor patch and fill the joints and scrape it down flat just to make sure. Use a broad knife to spread it after you have mixed it. Don't mix too much at first till you get to know how fast it dries and how much you can put on the floor before it cures. You can get floor patch at your local hardware store or home depot, lowes, or maybe even a carpet store. You might need to sand the joints first if there is a height difference between the sheets.

Thank you for advice. I still haven't seen any pictures of Konecto on this forum...am I not looking in right place?? Have you installed Konecto?? I'm choosing it because it's not expensive and pretty much stain proof and water proof. I'm very tired of easy to stain carpet.

I haven't seen any pictures here either. I haven't installed it yet but our store has sold some and another installer did the job. Said that it was fairly easy to install. There are some others on this forum that have installed it tho, they should be posting here sometime so keep checking back.
