Repairs

What are your thoughts on the 'melt in' repair kits?
They have them for wood/laminate, vinyl, and evidently tile as well.

I have been using my old Witex kit for a long time now.

Re: Repairs

I like them, but I wish they had some sticks that dry to a harder consistency. I can work some miracles with those things though.

Re: Repairs

Think furniture repairs. Same stuff. Melting plastic filler and graining colorant. Works well if you take the time to do it right. No soft putty filler. Hard, but maybe not always hard enough, plastic that you melt into the damaged area and scrape and sand to match. I've used it for years to repair Witex and Kahrs problems.

Re: Repairs

I'll get the info on Monday for the kits they sell here. They have one specifically for vinyl, one for wood/laminate, and one for tile.

They run about 250.00 each.

Re: Repairs

Barry, how do you fit that big white thing in the lower left into the box? And what does it do?

I thought most of these kits had an acrylic hardener/sealer in them as well. That not longer en vogue?
