Vinyl or Linoleum Tile Identification

I am a crime scene analyst seeking information on where I might be able to obtain some flooring tiles needed for forensic purposes.

They are 12" square black and white vinyl or linoleum over a wood backing.

Any information would be appreciated.

Those appear to be cheap peel and stick vinyl tiles. You can mount them on plywood or Luan board.
Here is the tile I think you pictured, made by Dynamix

I think Mr. King is right. The reason they are on plywood is for showroom sampling. Unmounted, they would damage too easily with handling.

That's great! Thanks very much -- your information was a very helpful.

Do flooring stores also sell the wood backing squares?

Thanks,

AJ
