Some of you may not be aware that we now have a
directory of flooring professionals. I am still making some minor modifications to make it easy for you to view the directory and add your listings. I hope you'll take the time to check it out and offer any feedback.
A directory listing is very similar to having a full-page ad in your phone book's yellow pages. If you realize that most homes now have computers and are connected to the internet, you may understand that even people in your location look businesses up on the net to learn more about them. More people now are reaching for their keyboard and mouse before reaching for the telephone book.
Because the PRO Directory is just getting started, there are less than a dozen listings so far. Here's some you might want to check out:
Barry Carlton, Installation Specialist - PRO Directory
Roger W. Richardson - PRO Directory
Custom Floors - PRO Directory
Armstrong World Industries - PRO Directory
The KOOLGIDE System - PRO Directory
Flooring Inspection Training Services, Inc. - PRO Directory
International Certified Floorcovering Installers, Inc. - PRO Directory
BlueTarp Financial - PRO Directory
You might wonder how people find these listings. If you start at the directory home page, the link at the beginning of this post, you will see all the categories. It's a navigation system that allows you to quickly find what you are looking for. And there's a search feature there too.
The Floor Pro Community has been doing very well in search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.) and more and more people are visiting us every day. Soon they will be visiting our directory to find the flooring business, service or other information they seek. I plan to make it the best flooring directory on the internet.
You are welcome to add your own listing. It will be a good test to see if I have made the process easy. If you have trouble, let me know and I will do whatever is necessary to fix any problems. All members who are flooring professionals will get a free, 1 page listing. It will help bring traffic to your own website or act similar to a website for you if you don't have one. The idea is to
help your business, whether you service only the town or city you live in, or a much larger corner of the world.
Best R'gards,
Jim
