My friends!!!
Sorry this is a mushy topic
I just got off the phone with someone that I did not know 3 years ago.
I am a little down right now as most are with the economy. He was so very encouraging!!!! I cannot relate the depth of my appreciation.
But this goes much further...I have found and developed several very deep friendships here. I cannot thank everyone enough!!
I hope I can and have contributed half as much to each one of you as you have to me.
I can only say thank you!!!! And I hope we can continue to be here for each other for as long as possible.

Thats Very cool Barry. Im sure you have done your share of encouraging too.
Its cool how a site like this can make the world that much smaller, and we find people with common interests that we otherwise never may have known. Good for this person that could uplift you a bit.

It wasn't me, honest!!!
Seriously, Barry, you can be an encouragement to us..
To those of us who have had the time to get to know you, your skill level is amazing, even though you have had a tremendous amount of adversity in your life.
Anybody that already speaks 3 or 4 languages and then embarks on learning another at your age is to be applauded. Plus you are a master at "CP language".
Recognizing that we are living in a "time" in history when so many things are changing. The type of work we do has not changed as much as science or technology, yet it is changing and we MUST keep up with it. So having friends or associates globally can be a big assistance to us individually. In times past many flooring people were self taught, or learned from another installer, now with places like TFP we can be open to new ideas and ways. Training and learning are what set us apart from all others.
So be mushy if ya want! Hang on I'll get a box of tissue for ya!!
Oh, I have a couple of really funny stories from NY when we talk next!!

I always look forward to reading what you post Barry!
The collection of knowledge and experience from all ends of this industry and outside of it is pretty amazing on TFP.

After reading everyone's posts, you feel like you know them. But to meet them in person or talk to them on the phone they become real people, if you know what I mean. I haven't been on here too much lately. I have been babysitting my 18 month old grandaughter and my 5 year old grandson. I forgot how tough that can be. Barry, good luck, I hope you find something.

I sincerely hope and pray that Barry and everyone else who is stuck in a down economy. My prayers for all you guys will be front a nd center. Godspeed. And you guys are my friends as well.

As I have said before, a lot of the participants here feel like family to me. Yeah, even the ones I don't always get along with. You all make me feel comfortable, like I can just be myself. No airs.
A few of you I have become pretty close to through our emails and phone calls. I count you among those, Barry. I don't know how you put up with me sometimes, but you are always there. I hope I can give back to you as much as you have given me in trust and friendship.
And if you ever start another one of these mushy topics again, I'll ban your ass.

I agree rusty It was like the time when Shirley and I went to Surfaces a couple of years ago and met some of you especially our Barry and Susan. Barry and I have talked on Skype for hours over the years, emailed each other about our 3 legged cats, grand children, 2 of them very close in age, and even a little bit about flooring. It took me awhile to get it into my head that when I finally met Barry. Barry was real, not just a name. Also Nick and I have talked on Skype, shared emails and I am finally going to meet him early October and then Nick will become that "real" person And look how many miles away we live from each other. We have all met through the power of the internet and TFP
