Re: waterproof laminate
I have never heard of such a thing as "waterproof laminate" just as I have never heard of "waterproof drywall" Laminate is a composite fiberboard and will swell up if any pooled water gets on it.

I checked it out on the Mannington website--looks like pretty durable stuff. I can't say I'd be real fond of having to put splines in each plank though. I rarely, if ever, deal with Mannington products, maybe once a year. I haven't done a Mannington laminate floor since 2003. I always get the obligitory "how do I care for this" question after installing laminate, then I have to give the "no bucket mopping speech" (which I'm sure you've all given). A true waterproof laminate floor is a heck of an accomplishment, though--it's the first I've seen. Thanks for the info, appreciate it.

Re: waterproof laminate
There is another newer waterproof laminate Aqua Floor. I haven't seen it yet but I know that it is similar to Mannington's iCore but it has the Unilin click edge. There is a little information at cinterx

Re: waterproof laminate
I think the added weight alone would cause the door to sag. It would much better to install a new wood grained garage door.

Re: waterproof laminate
Hire a painter or do like Jerry said and buy a new door.

Re: waterproof laminate
Why would anyone want to add weight to a garage door?
Karndean is the most likey product and that would be an awful thought. The only worse thouight is lifting the door.
