Top Seal on Laminate Floors

I have laminate wood floor (tongue and groove) at my entry way and vinyl wood planks that are the glue-down type in a bathroom. I am conserned with water getting between the cracks of these types of floors and damaging the subfloor beneath. Should I apply a sealant over the top of these floors to protect then from water damage? Or will a sealant damage these types of floors?
If you DO recommend a sealant ontop of the floors, what type of sealant do you recommend for each type of floor I mentioned above?
Thank you in advance for all responses!

There is a top coat (acyrlic polish) you can use on your vinyl floor in bathroom that protects the surface of the vinyl , it will also resist water. As for the laminate i would stick to the manufactures reccomendations on maintianing the laminate. What type of subfloor?

Re: Top Seal on Laminate Floors

Most laminate manufactures reccommend using an adhesive at the T&G in wet areas. This would greatly minimize moisture penetration.
