1/4" to 3/8" of felt is a bit much even for a floating floor.

The 1 1/4" subfloor requirement for Novoplan is for deeper pours as opposed to thinner patch jobs. Regardless using an SLC for this purpose is generally not a good idea on wood substrates.

A trowelable floor patch would be much better as hookknife has suggested.

What would be an example of a trowelable floor patch?
