Jerry,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I hope every one doesn't mind me going on and on with this but the writing is really helping me.
If anyone would like to know my son, his friends say it best.

Re: Keep Close in Prayer
Son I woke up this morning missing you so much. I hung out in your room for a while. I found a lot of memories in there that made me feel so good inside. I carried those memories around with me today and when I got sad they cheered me up. Son every one keeps on telling me I’m so strong, but I’m not . I know in my heart that you would want me to take care of mom and darrin. So I tried to put on a happy face for them. Son this is so hard to do but I do it for you. Some times my happy face cracks and I pull out one of those memories and patch it up. Son thank you for all those memories. I’m going to need every one of them. I must go for now but I will see you tomorrow.
love dad.
P.S. Darrin likes wearing your favorite T-shirts day and night. I didn’t think you would mind.

Darin thank you for opening and sharing your heart with us. I am not ashamed to say your thought bring tears to my eyes. None of us can feel the sorrow you bear, but you must know we hurt with you and cry with you. My God give you comfort as only he can, remember you have many many of us that go to God in your and your wife's behalf and may God grant you peace.

Re: Keep Close in Prayer
Son I had another bad nightmare last night. They say God will not give you more than you can bear. God please take these nightmares away. I'm not this strong. Son I am trying to be strong. Me and Mom went on an estimate today. It's so hard to act like your happy to be some where, but we did because we know we have to. Son I wanted you to know that my hand and arm looks so much better. It was mostly a second degree burn, third in 2 small areas. We go back to work Thursday. I will miss you so much son. I need to rest now.
Love always dad.
PS. All your friends want to throw you a huge birthday party. I thought that was cool. Darrin misses you so much.

We don't mind one tiny bit. Add more whenever you feel the need to.
I am so impressed after reading all of those responses in the link you posted. I know you are too, by knowing how many lives he touched.
Like everyone else, I got teary eyed reading those letters. He had a positive influence in a lot of lives.
Reading what his friends and family wrote.......... well.... they make you both happy and sad at the same time. Beautiful stories.

Darian , As someone who's six year old granddaughter was killed by a car getting off the school bus in front of her house seven years ago , I know your pain .. You do what it takes to keep your head on straight ..
It is the little things that will get you through this Sad thing .. If you want send me a photo , and a prayer or message you would like , and i will ship you out a coffee mug if that helps .. Nick ..

Re: Keep Close in Prayer
I know it's hard but you have to go on for those who are still here. My son-in-law was murdered 2 years ago, a month before my grandson, his son, was born. It took a long time to get even close to normal. If will be rough but you will make it.

Re: Keep Close in Prayer
Thank you Low-down for taking the time to get to know a little about my son. It helps.
Nick I'm truly sorry for your loss. A loss like that will never go away. I know Larry will be on my mind forever. We got to keep the good memories in our minds and let the bad out.
Rusty,
I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a crazy twisted world we live in. I'll be here for my family. I have no choice.
And thank you Nick I may take you up on that in time.
Thank all of you for letting me get it out.

Re: Keep Close in Prayer
Thank you so much for sharing your pain with us, Darian and Tammy. We all know this has to be the most difficult time of your lives, even if we can't possibly know what you are feeling. Too many of us have been through similar tragedies, but it's so wonderful that we are able to share this time with you to help you and to help ourselves.
Thank you for bringing Larry here to us and allowing us to share your memories and sadness. This will be here for you to keep using for as long as you want.
My very best regards and deepest sympathies,
Jim

Re: Keep Close in Prayer
Son we?ve been working so hard this past Thursday, Friday, and today for the Billings. They were the nicest customers. It?s so hard without you. Everything reminds me of you and I can?t help but cry. I don't want to be here without you but I stay here for you. I know that you want me to take care Mom and Darrin. Your friends are still coming by and checking on us. We are so grateful to all of them and hope they keep coming. Well Son, Dad feels like a Mack truck ran right over him. You know, the feeling all carpet installers get.
You will always be on my mind.
Love Dad.

Darian and Tammy, I am so very sorry for your loss. I can only echo what Tandy said above-- that we all feel a bit of your pain. I can't even imagine what it must be like in your shoes. May God bring you some kind of comfort and hold you and your family close.
