Darian, as Jim said, thank you for sharing the tribute to Larry with us. Very touching indeed. Some of the pics in the slide show hit close to home. It is a true reality check.

Re: Keep Close in Prayer

Thank you all so much for watching the video and getting to know my son. It means a lot to us and helps us knowing that his memory is being kept alive...

Like a lot of teens, Larry wanted a tattoo. I told him not until he turned 18 and then I would take and get him one for his birthday. He of course argued saying that he would be 18 in just a couple of months so what's the difference. Me being a stubborn and hard headed father refused and said NO, not till your 18. Well he died the month before his 18th birthday and so never got his tattoo. I never wanted a tattoo and had none. But when Larry died I told Tammy that I wanted to get Larry his tattoo. I told her that I would just have to wear it for him.

It probably isn't what he would have chosen, but I hope he likes them....

They are not fully healed yet and the photos don't really do them justice, but you can get an idea...

Darian, it loads up to slow on my dial up service, but from what I did view, you have done a great tribute to Larry. He'd be proud of those tattoos......... I know he is proud of those tattoos. Glad you have been able keep going forward with your life and savoring the good memories.

Men and women of the flooring industry will you join us? My wife is reaching out to help others who have lost a child. Tammy is also trying to help others who have not lost a child by helping them understand their friend or loved one's needs through these trying times. I ask you all to come and share in just a few moments of our journey. While your there please click on our son's tribute video in the links box to the right. Thank all for letting us share with you.

Darian, very powerful but forgive if I hope I never have to use what Tammy has taught me. You are both blessed to have each other when the unthinkable happened. We are blessed, as painful as it is, to bear witness to your grace.

Re: Keep Close in Prayer

This Wednesday will mark one year since Larry's passing. Let's all be certain to keep the entire Brown family in our prayers during this most difficult week.

Darian, Tammy & Darren, hang in there and keep leading by example, we'll be with you in prayer.

Sincerely,

David Hunt

PS: In honor of Larry, how about we STOP and take a few minutes out of our day and tell those around us how much we love them and how much they mean to us. I know we try to show it every day, but it's the words said that return and give comfort when our bodies are gone. Talk about a wonderful gift. Thank you Larry for being such a great example of this most important lesson.

That article was VERY well written. I lost my dad in Oct. of last yr. As a minister I really appreciate your wife's incite. And the empathy that she evokes.

Re: Keep Close in Prayer

Darian ..... I want you and your wife to know that I appreciate life and my family more now than I used to. Not sure it helps any but I still say prayers for you and Tammy. I realize praying does not really help people.... I do it more for me ... to keep me grounded and appreciative of everything the good lord has blessed me with.

Re: Keep Close in Prayer

Barry,

We are so sorry for your loss of your dad. A loss from your heart is a piece of your heart gone…

Thank for your time in reading and for your kind words on Tammy’s article. Knowing that others care and are willing to give a few moments of themselves, means more than you could know. And the compliment on Tammy’s writing gave her a much needed smile and I thank you for that.

Jerry,

One of the things we are hoping to accomplish by sharing our tragedy is to help others realize that we are not promised tomorrow and we must take advantage of the time we do have with those we love. Thank you for letting us know that we are achieving this. And thank you for taking the time to read Tammy’s article and to continue to pray for us. Knowing that does in fact help, because if you are praying of us, then you are remembering Larry.
