Tracy Baucom Jan. 28, 1973 - May 25, 2007
My friend, TC, died yesterday. Wife of Lee Baucom, our brother in flooring and a beautiful woman with a wonderful uplifting spirit, even as she struggled with long term illness. Tracy was a charter member here: http://www.thefloorpro.com/community...aucom-102.html I wish I could have been a better friend to her - I don't remember the last time we talked on the phone. Too busy with my own selfish life and I kept putting off the next phone call or email to say hello to my friend. Now all I can do is say goodbye. I'm so sorry, Lee. My heart is sad for your loss and the loss to all of us.
Here are some pictures TC sent to me. Something to remember her by. My late aunt drew the picture of the church - the only church in a tiny town I lived in for a couple of years back in the late 50s. I edited, cropped and/or framed the pictures Tracy sent. I hope they do her and her family justice.
Some of the images can be clicked on to see a larger picture.

Almost all of Tracy's posts were to help Lee or advice for buying gifts for Lee, you could tell she loved him very much. Much condolences Lee.

She was a real sweetheart from what I experienced with her conversations on the sites. So very sad. She was very pleasant and will be missed. For those of us far away, a place to send flowers would be really nice. If anyone knows of an address for this, please post it. Thank you.

It leaves me speechless, because I know of no way to help ease your pain.

I have their number and will try to call tomorrow.
I was looking at some old emails TC and I shared and wanted to share a couple things with all of you - and with Lee, the love of her life.
This one is in reference to a domain TC wanted to register for Lee's business.

Lee just got home, he had an early day. I am going to have him help play around with this site I think he will like it.

I loved her colloquialisms.
Tracy sent me a picture (one I posted above), but wasn't sure it came through. I had mentioned my weekly trips to Reno for supplies, shopping, etc. She sent this:
Good I was just messing around with it to see if I could do it right. I love Vegas!!!!!! Thats a long story the last time I was there...lol it was crazy. Casinos??? I wouldnt get any work done. I would be on the slots or at the Black Jack table, hee hee I have been through Reno a few times, this is the 3rd time I have moved here and now that I have Lee back, I am here for good. He and I met over 7 years ago.
OH he has been sleeping for over an hour. He needs it. I am trying to find him some hobby or something to help reduce his stress. I get on my treadmill and work out and get in our tanning bed, but he says he gets a workout at work and dosent need to do it at home......but...he has to find something else. He likes the site i am creating so far. Maybe it can help be an outlet for him.

Last year Tracy post a beautiful picture of her and Lee at their wedding on the FCI message board, but it was hacked and lost in the ether. Luckily though, I saved the picture (also posted above). This was her frustrated message to me that day:
HEY, I POSTED MY WEDDING PIC ON FCI AND I DONT THINK ANYONE GOT TO SEE IT. I WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU DID. EMAIL ME BACK AND I WILL SEND IT TO YOU.

Last July, TC sent this testament of her glowing pride, joy and love for Lee:
Lee has been so busy at work. I am so proud of him!!! He has gotten 2 letters from the VP of Lowes thanking him for his work and customer satisfaction. His ratings are at 100%. I am hoping he gets installer of the year. That would boost his moral to the highest its ever been. He is such an awsome father, provider and husband, I hate he has to work so hard. I may go see if I can get a job working part-time at the new walmart to help out some, but that wont be until the kids go back to school.
How are you doing? I will check out the the floor pro.com today. We have been so busy I dont even think Lee has been on FCI that much even. I havnt been on there since the hacker took my wedding pic off of there.
well I have run my mouth enough for now. I will keep you informed about everything happening...oh, Lee won me a new gas grill and a new cork laminate floor for the office all in 2 weeks. I told him he needs to play the lottery...lol
I will write more later.
Your friend,
TC

I got an email from Lee today and he had this to say in response to questions I had:

Dear Lee,
We are so sorry for your loss, and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
I wrote this for my Son, and we share it with you because we know this must be how you are and will be feeling for the rest of your life.
I miss you.
It begins in the depths of the soul….this longing.
It swells and begins to well up and outward….this yearning.
It overtakes the body inside and out….this desire.
It swallows the very spirit….this aching need.
Little things set if off.
A tool that was used by only you.
A flavor that was one of your favorites.
A sound that tap, tap, taps.
Behind closed eyes.
In pages of still gloss.
Tales of time past.
These are but replacements.
Not fulfillments.
And then it breaks free of the very core.
It grows hot, trembles, and quakes.
Quickly, it surges throughout every atom.
Finally, it bursts forward and out.
Crashing waves of searing salt crests the brims.
Forcing blurred visions.
Gasping sobs, uncontrolled.
Racked by grief.
I miss you.
Warmly,
Tammy and Darian Brown
