In Memory of Brad Ferguson
My dad passed away Thursday morning. He had been fighting cancer for over two years. He died in the comfort of his own home, and was in no pain. He has been in the floor covering industry for over thirty years. He was a straight up guy, who was true to his word. He taught me alot about the retail side of the buisness, but measuring was never one of his strong points. I used to get so dam mad at him for making me pcs in closets. I'll miss him. The family seems to be doing well. We have alot of work in front of us. Keep us in your prayers.
Brad Ferguson
January 12, 1940 - September 28, 2006
Brad Ferguson, age 66, of Mountain Home, died Thursday morning at his home. He was born January 12, 1940, in Hallock, Minnesota to David Wilkie and Dorothy Margaret (McCrystal) Ferguson. He married Shirley (Grimm) in Franklin Park, IL on November 4, 1963. Brad served in the US Army as part of the “Big Red 1”, 1st Infantry Division. He and Shirley moved to Mountain Home in 1978 from Bartlett, IL and bought Don’s Carpet Center. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Mountain Home Elks Lodge #1714, and the National Floor Covering Association.
He is survived by: his mother, Dorothy, son, Brian (Juli) Ferguson and their children, Peyton Jack and Mikayla; son, Daniel (Elizabeth) Ferguson, and their children Caleb and Caitlyn, all of Mountain Home; 2 brothers: Doug Ferguson of AZ and Bob Ferguson of IL; sister-in-law, Marie Grimm and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, his wife, Shirley, and 1 brother, Jack Ferguson.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Ludwig officiating. Interment will be private in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or to the North Central Arkansas Youth Sports Association, 229 Russell Lane, Mountain Home, AR 72653.

Re: Lost my dad Thursday.
Hey Danny, I am so very sorry to learn of yours and your families loss. Death always comes too soon and leaves such a terribly large void in the lives of those it touches. We will keep you and your family in our prayers as you discover the man your father always knew you to be. Lead on Mr. Ferguson, lead on...
With sincere sympathies,
David & Charlene Hunt
PS: You know if I can ever be of service and/or assistance don't ever hesitate to call.

Mine has been gone for a long time Danny. He was 49.... as I will be in a few days. I think about him a lot because of the things he taught me, automotive, electrical, plumbing, carpentry.........and lawn mowing to name a few.
So sorry to hear of your loss Danny. It's good that your memories will be good ones like mine.

Re: Lost my dad Thursday.
Danny I am very sorry for your loss and will remember you and your family in my prayers. My 78 year old Dad still works with me some on tearouts and moving furniture and I worry about him.
My only brother is near death from this terrible disease. He's at home too ..... just a matter of time.
You are in our prayers Danny.

Re: Lost my dad Thursday.
This is sad news, Danny, and I am very sorry for your loss. If you feel up to it, I would like to post his obituary and this thread in the news forum so that it will show up on the home page as a memorial to your father. If you could email or PM me, I promise to make it a nice tribute. If you have a picture of him too...
In any case, my deepest condolences.

Danny So sorry for your loss. I'm sure he'll be greatly missed. Especially since he was in the business. Those little tidbits of advise will surely be missed.

Re: Lost my dad Thursday.
I'm sorry to hear that Danny. From what I've heard, your Dad was a good man. It also appears that he left things in good hands with you. It's your turn now. Make the best of it as I'm sure you will. My thoughts are with you and your family.
