Second Annual Installer-Inspector Workshop

The second annual Installer-Inspector Workshop is currently being planned for the end of April or the beginning of May 2009. The "steering committee" has representation from all three groups, retail, installation, & inspection. Please contact them with your ideas & suggestions. They will appreciate input from everyone.

I have removed all the old committee members from access to the Workshop Committee forum and added the new members indicated above. I also added you, sodak (am I right in assuming you are Pat?) and left Tandy, Chris Mha and hollywood (Deron Lopez). I'm not quite clear that this is going to be another FITS lead event.

Will you be taking volunteers to the committee? Although I have access to the forum because I am the administrator, I'd also like to continue working on graphics and promotion and help to sponsor the event. Others may also want to volunteer, so you might want to address that issue.

It's very good to get this started now. One of the biggest problems I think we had with promoting the Workshop was the short time-line. Most publications didn't want to or couldn't offer promotional space because of the lack of time and available space - they begin publishing an issue 3 or 4 months in advance. There is also a good opportunity now to get information and pictures about the first Workshop to publishers for news and to let them know there will be another one.

I will be contacting the school for space next year and when I get a solid date from them I will let you know. If memory serves me right I think Roger said I was on the committee also. In addition, Pat is sec/tres of the workshop and she will be setting up Pay Pal this time. Right Pat

As CEO, of FITS, I think I can speak and say yes FITS will sponser the workshop next year and hopefully many years to come.

With all due respect to TFP admin, do we not already have a committee in place? Is this new organization to replace the old? I guess I am in the dark on this.

I don't have a problem with any of it, just keep us in the know.

Roger, this is an old thread you replied to. It does refer to the discussions the committees are having now in the Building Bridges forum.
