I have removed all the old committee members from access to the
Workshop Committee forum and added the new members indicated above. I also added you, sodak (am I right in assuming you are Pat?) and left Tandy, Chris Mha and hollywood (Deron Lopez). I'm not quite clear that this is going to be another FITS lead event.
Will you be taking volunteers to the committee? Although I have access to the forum because I am the administrator, I'd also like to continue working on graphics and promotion and help to sponsor the event. Others may also want to volunteer, so you might want to address that issue.
It's very good to get this started now. One of the biggest problems I think we had with promoting the Workshop was the short time-line. Most publications didn't want to or couldn't offer promotional space because of the lack of time and available space - they begin publishing an issue 3 or 4 months in advance. There is also a good opportunity now to get information and pictures about the first Workshop to publishers for news and to let them know there will be another one.
