I have been ask to speak at a CFI meeting tonight. This is the continuing of Building Bridges as a result of the workshop. I know from talking to Charles that dealers have been invited to the meeting as well as non CFI installers. I also understand that a mill rep has indicated he will be there.

It is wonderful to know the line of communication is opening between installers and inspectors. We will talk about "Hired Gun" inspectors and what recourse the installer and dealer have. I am sure other topics will be discussed also.

It is a honor to be ask to participate in this meeting and I am looking forward to it.

Tandy, I can think of very few who could approach in quality what i know will be discussed there than you. Take your swings and get a few hits for the little guys!

From a book I read often: "Two, threes and fives of us have begun to spring up in other communities." This is the way we are going to make some meaningful changes. Each and every one of us has to talk about these problems to anyone who will listen. Won't be fun (well we will have some good times doing it ) or easy, but it will have to be a grassroots movement.

Reminds me of Albert Finch in Network: "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore!!!"

Just think of the niche that could be available to the "hired gun for the dealer or installer" type of inspector.

We had a great program. There were 17 CFI installers, 1 non CFI installer/inspector, 2 dealers, and one supplier rep. present. Had good discussions, and it was a great and very knowledgable group of men.

Tandy im sure you are a phenominal inspector. It is the inexperienced I cant stand. I know who is good and who is not . Who takes pride in their work. Happy Birthday Tandy

Right you are Rowland. We have several very, very good inspectors on this board, and it would be great if inspectors could speak at CFI meetings, dealer meetings, or any other floor covering group. This also would inclued supplier workshops..
