Re: Cfi
i am no longer a member, but i was taught alot by cfi installers.. fred chaistain,pj arthur, jerry miller and yes hours of phone knowledge by roland.. if you cut out the political stuff and get down to training cfi will teach you alot... i have learned basics of hand sewing, thermosealing seams...and alot of little stuff that has made me a better installer..*and yes it has got me more money.. you have to market it and use it as atool to better youself.. i guarantee you one thing, if you get trained by jerry miller you will not be handed anything. he demands the best, he ripped up a bunch of my seams and made me question my own abilitys more than once... the passion for floors is dead in my area, but when i get around people like pj arthur who has so much enthusiasiam for this buisness it gets me pumped up... he has been sewing seams 40 years and yet he gets excited when you ask him a question about the smallest thing.. passion..... that is what i see from the georgia cfi guys.. look, you need to stay ahead of your competition, and training is one way to do it, if not cfi, then go to mannington, armstrong, pergo, koolglide, shaw...etc they all have good training...alot are free..take advantage of it.
