Armstrong Marmorette welding rod

I need a sample of color number -- W1250. It's a greyish color.
Our supplier won't sample rod. Our customer wants to see how it looks on/in a sample piece. Supplier wants to sell a full roll.

I only need 8-12 inches.

Anyone have some somewhere?

I tried Marmoleum but nothing matches this color. To grey or to blue.

I checked my stash, none of it there. Isn't it nice that your supplier can't reach out and help you out? I have had better luck by just grinding them a bit. Things are little slow, you would think they would be a bit more helpful

Re: Armstrong Marmorette welding rod

Maybe we would set up a database of sorts that could catalog odds and ends like this that we have in stock.
I must have 70+ different colors of weld rod 2/3 vinyl, 1/3 lino.
Not like materials for sale, but, well, like i said.....odds and ends available.

I know it may be tough. But.....'T' ???

I've got some scribe to metal that might gain sudden popularity.

A few issues in relation to this:
  • TFP doesn't offer products (except memorabilia) in order to remain unbiased
  • TFP doesn't sell advertising to vendors of flooring products (see reason above)
  • TFP doesn't allow members to solicit business (no advertising rule)
  • TFP DOES allow members to respond to posts from others seeking a specific product they carry, as long as it's in this "Looking For A Flooring Professional or Product" forum
  • I do have a domain registered that might be suitable for this (FlooringRemnants.com) and could be set up for this purpose
  • I need to get off my ass and finish working on YOUR website before I try to tackle another project
  • An individual flooring site (yours or anyone's) can have part of it set up to list your left-overs
  • If the site is properly Search Engine Optimized, Google and others will catalog it for you and anyone searching for an item may find it on your site via Google, Yahoo, etc.
  • A catch-all site (like FlooringRemnants.com) could not only catalog left-overs from any number of vendors, but also direct buyers to the websites that have the products, which increases your chance of getting rid of your left-overs
This is another reason why it's very important to have a detailed profile here. In the near future, I will be updating the forum software to a newer version and you will be able to see just how many visitors actually check out your profiles. It's a lot. Search engines also check them out and index the information you provide. Visitors also click the links to your website in your profiles and also when you put a link to your site in your signature area (you might be amazed at the number of readers here who appreciate helpful replies and visit your sites to learn more about you).

Well, this is the most I have written in a couple of weeks. I have stewed in my own crap for too long and it's time for me to get back to work on Barry's site (among other commitments).

Re: Armstrong Marmorette welding rod

I think 'T' means ...no

I thought that it would conflict with the goals/mission of this site.
Never hurts to throw it out there and ask.

Jim. I'm going to be in Fresno CA till the 4th.
I'll work on the bio when i get back.
In other words...no hurries....yet.
