I need to find a Hardwood Floor Scraper

Hello I am in search a a company I believe is in southern California. They sell Hand Scrapers for hand destressing hardwood floors. I am not looking for your average corner scraper. This scraper has a wooden handle and it uses pieces of metal with a smiley face edge thats sharpened and rounded over to scrap floors. If anyone knows please help.

Have you tried the paint stores. Sounds like a paint scraper.

I have seen drawknifes at yard sales for $2 or $3. Also at flea markets.

I think he's talking old school type scrapers. Pre drum sander type.

You can grind these to produce what ever profile you want.

Wow was I ever off base. You are not going to find that at a paint store. I have never seen one of those. Check Lee Valley Tools - Woodworking Tools, Gardening Tools, Hardware they have some neat wood working stuff.

Where did they come from originally? It might help us think along different lines. We all do searches just a little differently so anything you can give us will potentially help you....and us

Some people use a cabinet scraper. You can find them at Woodworking Tools Supplies Hardware Plans Finishing - Rockler.com

I'm a little late, but if you are still looking, I think this is the company's website you are looking for. Give them a call, they can custom make what you are looking for.
