Re: Flooring supply shop in New York?

Most of the work I do down here is hospitality work like hotels and condo buildings. But when the economy took a dump, everyone decided to forclose on there condos down here. Most are second homes for the rich folk. All the buildings that are due to renovate are putting it off for what seems like forever. I keep hearing the same thing over and over. "we are going to wait and see what happens" Well thats being part of the problem right there. If people dont spend money, how can the economy recover? Not to mention everyone with a van thinks they are an installation firm. They go around low balling everything and making prices drop.

Why don't you send that sentiment to the editor of your south Florida newspaper? How about your local congressman? From where we sit up here, there doesn't seem to be any gov't stimulus to get your economy kickstarted again. Our gov't did a tax credit for home improvements for just over a year, but that ended in February. Work has slowed down considerably since.

Re: Flooring supply shop in New York?

Yeah only stimulus money that came to florida is for the roadways. Alot of roads being redone. Funny part is its hurting the economy. Want to know why? Because most of that labor are immigrants. And you know what immigrants do with there money right? Send it back to there country of origin of course! So that means the money is going out the window and not back into the economy.... epic fail...
