You should see some of the ads I've seen for tile installers. Some offer $80-100 per day, some offer a dollar or less per square foot. I even saw one looking for help....no compensation at all. None.

Another good one was advertising a "tile saw" for sale. When you click on the add it brings up a picture of a standard miter saw with a wood cutting blade on it. Hope nobody buys it and tries to use it on tile. It would be like a claymore mine going off in your face.

14.50 an hour for three days a week? It doesn't take a genius to figure out that you're going to come out with less than minimum wage after all is said and done. No thanks, I'll work at walmart before I deteriorate a whole industry's standard's for what's acceptable pay.

hahahah! That's for dude's helper, right?

So... 3-4 apartments is:

3.5 kitchens
3.5 laundry closets
5 bathrooms
3.4 entries

So.... what... 70+ yds per day? lulz.

Two guys might get that kind of production if conditions were ideal, as in close to zero prep and nothing in the way like toilets and appliances. I think you're right. This is an ad by an installer looking for an experience helper.

They want you to furnish a work truck for them as well so you can haul their vinyl, glue, patch and trash around too. Well, with all the cash flow from the $14.50 an hour 3-4 days a week who would be worried about the trivial details like auto insurance, registration, gas and upkeep. You know that stuff is all real cheap here in Southern California.

If I was getting 14.50 an hour paid salary at 40 hours a week with all tools and vehicles furnished and full medical insurance then we might have a deal.
