Trying to find Home Depot carpet

This is for you Home Depot employees.

I'm trying to find a carpet style called "Strategic". I bought some from Home Depot a couple of years ago, and I actually saw the sample board in the store about a month ago. Now, of course, they no longer sell it.

I have a number on the original receipt that I believe is the style-color: 244HD-04531

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance,
Craig

You might take a sample of it to some other stores and see if they can tell you the actual name of it. Home Depot will have their private name and number on it. But remember, carpet colors and styles change often and then the mills quit making the old stuff. I assume your local Home Depot has checked with other Home depots to see if they have any? You know they can go into their computer and check stock nationwide.

if it is a product with Stainmaster you may find it at Lowes now that Depot lost the contract with Stainmaster products. Remember though Stainmaster is not a mill name.

That's right where I'm stuck. I was hoping that it was a Stainmaster product, as like you said, Home Depot lost the contract to Lowes. I did check out a couple of Lowes (and obviously all over online), but the "Strategic" style doesn't pop up anywhere.

I'm hoping that a Home Depot employee may still know where a sample panel is or something with more detail.

As stated, I just saw the panel in store not more than 1-2 months ago. I know there is a store out there that has yet to discard it

I've tried calling manufacturers about hd carpets and they are sworn to secrecy not to give their regular name for the HD name. Best thing to do is file a formal complaimnt online and someone from headquarters in Georgia will get to the bottom of this....good thing hd hq is in GA cause that happens to be the carpet capitol...hope this helps

A small retailer might be able to help. I know one installer who sends his customers to Carpet Mill Outlet and then the designer he orders through can cross-reference the numbers. I don't know how she is privy to this info but she is.

For anyone else searching:

One of the local flooring stores finally found a rep that recognized it as a Shaw piece. The name they gave me was "Tranquility".

Luckily, it's still available.
