Hey Barry ! What a Coincidence, I spent 4 hours Saturday sewing up my brothers tent. Strong wind patterns literally Blew apart many areas of the tent. I may head over today to finish some similar holes and give the ball stitch a try. It looks to be the same stitch I've used for mitering wide bindings.

Great idea ! mixing/twisting the different colored threads together
