here is a Kitchen project that I should finish tomorrow, just need to put the last 4 drawers under the cooktop,(( there were never any there before...) if the appliance guy gets the pop up vent installed... these are actually the original cabinets that were installed in 1979 that I refaced all the cabinets with Maple veneer. Then built all new doors and made new drawers (dovetailed too). I did have to build a new cabinet for the oven/convection oven.. which in turn made the pantry cabinet needing to be built... I also built the cabinet above the fridge since the height of the fridge changed... another cool thing that we had to do was to pull out the cooktop cabinet and cut out the back for the pop up vent to have enought room... . I also made all pull outs for the lower cabinets and a new waste basket pullout....some one else is going to put the backsplash on, and the kitchen got all new Bamboo floors... By the way the original look of the cabinets were Green pickled Oak with Cathedral doors.. a little dated. I also made all of the crown, Plus the toe kick, and base shoe. to match. The counter tops were all solid granite from a company from chicago...
And if any one is courious, is was excatly 1/2 the cost of buying all new cabinets that looked liked this.(give or take a couple of dollars) .. took a little over 2 weeks start to finish...
