Thought that would get you. Here's the deal. Approx. 1000' for my new construction lake house in east Texas. Product is Armstrong Wood Haven ceiling laminate with Humiguard. This product is about 7 foot long, 5" wide and is installed by screwing clips in the groove side that are hidden when the next pc is placed. No locking mechanism, just loosely fit t+g. Spoke with someone at the company that gave me the same unreasonable temp. expectations you get from lam. floor companies,65-85 I think it was. On top of that I have spray foam insulation which I have no idea how it will effect humidity. Ceiling is 27' tall at highest point just to make it fun. House is pier and beam with central air but I don't think I want to spend 300 a month to keep my laminate comfortable. I normally would not touch something like this for 20 grand but client insist I do it for free. Do you think if I make my wife sign a warranty waiver it would stand up in court? Got some pics somewhere I will post later.
Have you or your wife decided on a syle and color yet? Here are a few that I like, but there is a pretty good selection to choose from on the website. It should not be that difficult to install and I think your project would look and work well with it.
Rusty, we are actually considering tin or faux tin in another area, about 600'. We want to see what this looks like up first. We might do a little of both in the other area. Can you get me a deal buddy?
Wish I could, but they are tough. They, I believe, are the only factory making tin ceiling tiles with the same tools since the 1880's. Until a few years ago, it was still owned by the family that founded it. They ship it all over the world.
Scott, the only place I could find it was special order from Lowes. It was under 3.00 per foot. A little pricey for laminate but I won't have to stain and seal it, it is lighter, and the ends are t+g so I won't have to deck the ceiling. I'm hoping it is also more stable but I'm not holding my breath. Unfinished t+g pine is a buck a foot but the ends are not t+g.
C-phone pic. Not finished trimming it out yet. Product easy to work with. Wife is pleased. Several hundred feet to do in another area of the house. Taking some time off in October to make another big push on it. Working on showers now.
