Announcing the Winners of the Referral Contest

The results are in and we have winners! First, I want to welcome once again The Floor Pro Community's 1,000^th member, David Jones. One of our most active members, Selva Lee Tucker, recommended us to David and he joined, becoming the member who will forever be known as the one who turned the ticker here at TFP to record our one-thousandth member. David wins a printed T-shirt and a hat with The Floor Pro logo that you see at the top of every page here.

The contest involved our members referring new people to us, having them register an account and participating - to count, the new member had to post at least one message. Over the year and a half of our community's young life, we have been graced with many loyal and enthusiastic members. A great many have referred flooring professionals and consumers to our site and a good number of these new members have participated and even referred more people to us. I wish I could list all the wonderful people who have brought us so many new members, but it would be too long. But here is the top 5 referrers (this is over-all, not just the contest period):

Thank you so much to you guys and to all the members who have referred us to their friends and associates. I should also note here that new members do not always enter a referrer name. Some of our new members and a great many of our visitors come from links on other websites belonging to our members. People like Bill Vincent, Peter Kodner and cproader have brought us a lot of traffic from their websites. And one guy who hasn't had a website until recently has referred visitor after visitor from one DIY board after another - thank you Floorguy.

But the one guy who referred the most new participating members to us during the contest was our very first member, Jerry. Thank you very much Jerry. He referred 3 new members to us during the contest. Only 2 of them participated, but it was enough to break the tie with Nick Arrera, who also referred 2 new members. Jerry wins his choice of an embroidered hat or a polo shirt.
