These are the rules:

1. You must have a working email address and multiple registrations are forbidden except in extenuating circumstances as approved by TFP Admin.
2. No personal attacks or abusive insults.
3. Political and religious discussions will be closely monitored and can be closed or deleted without notice or explanation.
4. Rumors and gossip concerning other forums, their members or their policies have no place here.
5. Be VERY conservative in your use of swear words. Some are filtered and some are not.
6. The widest image you can post on the forum is 750 pixels and the file size can be no more than 146 KB.
7. Do not post copyrighted material, including text and/or images, without the owners permission and a link to their site.
8. Try to keep posts on topic. Start a new topic in the appropriate forum whenever you want.
9. Do not post in a thread that has had no activity for 30 days or more unless you were the thread starter.
10. Your signature including all text and images can be no wider than 750 pixels and no taller than 200 pixels.
11. Adult content or links to it is strictly forbidden. Keep everything rated no more than a television "R".
12. There is no free advertising. You can use a linked banner for your own business in your signature only.
13. You can not participate in the PRO section of the forums unless you are or were employed in the flooring industry.
14. Discuss all moderator action against you with the administrator or a moderator, not on the open forums.

These rules are subject to change at any time without notice. Please check the forum announcements often. These rules will be enforced with no favoritism. Any rule that seems ambiguous is enforced at the discretion of the admin or mod. You can be warned or banned for violations but we do not want to ban anyone for a misunderstanding or a mistake. Please discuss your questions or problems with the administrator or a moderator.

Our goal here is to educate and entertain. Our focus is on the professional but we have a strong desire and ability to help the consumer and Do-It-Yourselfer. Every single member is important no matter how long they have been here how many posts they have or what level of membership they hold.

You will find advertising here through a variety of methods. None of these methods are designed to infringe on your privacy or ability to use the forums. An advertiser has no guarantee of sales and no assurance that comments favorable to them will be made. Indeed, there may be reviews and opinions that are negative but we will enforce Rule #2 at all times. No advertiser has special privilege just as no member does. Advertisers are welcome to answer questions and clarify any misunderstanding but Rule #12 will be enforced at all times.

The administrator and moderators are the only enforcers of the rules. There is a "Report bad post" button on every message in the forums. Use it if you feel a violation has occurred and needs attention. Please refrain from inflaming the situation by arguing with anyone. Posts that violate the rules can be edited or deleted. Threads that have gone wrong can be locked or deleted. Following the rules as best you can will be the best way to get the most out of this site.
