Forum concerns

What have you done lately to the site??

Today, I'm having heck getting pages to pop up here, Like I'm on 28.8 dial up. Well not exactly but weird stuff...

I use Netscape as my browser. I click my bookmark for here and it takes at least 10 seconds for the community page to show. Then I click on the forum I want to view, and down on the bar, it says resolving host, and is looking. Then like it timed out, it doesn't go anywhere, and the Netscape icon at the top quits spinning telling me it's done.

I have to right click on the forum, and click open in another window. Then it will pop right up, within a second. Then it will sometimes let me click on a topic and pop right up, then other times it will do the resolving host thing, and I have open it too, in another window.

Last week I axed the Norton resource hog off my puter(everything runs faster now!!!), and loaded Earthlinks Protection Control, Which found 16 viruses Casper32 was one. I removed all the viruses and spyware the Norton missed, and wow what a difference, except, this webpage seems to have went haywire in the last 2 days.

Re: Forum concerns

I haven't been notified by the host of any server maintenance, which tends to slow things down and sometimes takes us off-line. But I have also noticed similar problems you had today and maybe yesterday too. It seems to be much better tonight and I'm experiencing no problems at the moment. Please let me know if it persists for you. Thanks for bringing it up.

Re: Forum concerns

It just did it to me clicking here to read this, I had to open it in a new window to get it to pop up.

Re: Forum concerns

I hope anyone else experiencing slower than normal page loads here will chime in. It's doing fine for me right now, but then it's about 5am -- not very busy.

Re: Forum concerns

Ok noticed something in common. Didn't catch it, that it is happening simotaniously(SP)

Once the main community pops up and I click on a forum, my Netscape e-mail window pops up, with a pop-up window with it, saying something to the effect... could not locate server.

There is something corrupt, somewhere!
