Re: RAFFLE: Win a Senco DS202 14v Cordless Screw Gun
I would suggest we look at the post by a member that got the most educational responses and dicussions. That should be the one that gets the prize.

Unfortunately, the winner was floorman67. He pointed out something I never gave a second thought to, mastermind criminal that I am, and it turns out I am a felon on the lam.
You are a mean and nasty man, TPF..... or whoever you are! ... I bet because of this drill raffle, you have $40 grand hidden under the seat in your van after this latest member ripp off!
I have not been able to learn more about it because of limited time. What I think should happen is that I contact each contribtor since the raffle and offer to return their donation. Because I told everyone that all contributors who qualify (staff wouldn't have been elligible for the raffle or any other public contest), would have a chance at the screw gun for every $5.00 they donated, I will send an official TheFloorPro.com hat to (picture to follow soon).
Heck... if the contest isn't deemed legal now.... then you could just give the screw gun to me because the elligibility stuff is now bunk also. Do I have a choice of colors?
So, everyone who donated gets a hat - and my apologies for not checking into the legalities to begin with (of course, floorman 67 will tell you this was my fall-back plan all along, as long as I had your money) - and I will be happy to send all donations back to the sender WITH a hat, to any who contributed during the raffle.
I am sorry. I should have checked into it. I didn't know this would be illegal. As I am sure floorman67 is well aware of, I despise this website and all of you so much that I will do these kinds of things from time to time to ensure that this site fails on a grand scale. No vandalism or the loss of a few attachments or a bunch of database errors will bring this site to its knees. It will be something like my next big scam to separate you from your cold cash. I still have the deed to the Brooklyn Bridge, if anyone's interested ...
|
Hey dude.. what has happened here on that 'grand scale' is something none of us would have considered illegal. ( I still don't think it is.... and my favorite colors are blue and gray) )
............ Hell, if it had entered any of our minds, we would have brought it up to you. Guess that one flew over the cuckoo's nest here. ............. about that bridge thing........... cash or check?

Re: RAFFLE: Win a Senco DS202 14v Cordless Screw Gun
I did not know it would be considered illegal either. Heaven forbid, it's a good thing the RaffleRanger caught that before we all got locked up. I agree it still should be given away, if that's alright with whoever donated it. I own one and it is a real good tool for subfloors, underlayments, CBU, drywall, ect. It is surprisingly powerful considering it being 14.4 v.

Re: RAFFLE: TFP Broke The Law - Admin on the run.
no problem ... glad I could help out.
and just to show there are no hard feelings I made you this for your free give-aways.

I am sure the one or two hats you give away to the one or two raffle donators wont break you, since your paypal account shows two transactions (public information not hacked), unless of course those transactions were for the tools you were selling in another thread, then it will be even less expensive.

Re: RAFFLE: TFP Broke The Law - Admin on the run.
Thanks for that, floorman67. I think we found another way to determine the winner though, one with a humorous and ironic bent to it. I think we (staff hasn't given official approval of my idea yet) have found a way to let you decide the winner that even you wouldn't know ahead of time. I'll let you know the formula after noon tomorrow. I hope you'll find it as fair and funny as we do.
I bought a dozen hats for my trip to Surfaces to give to people I sought support from. They arrived as I was checking out of my hotel. I kept one for myself, gave one to the guy who donated the Segway for my transportation around the convention (another topic, another time) and have 10 more. I don't remember the number, but there were like 8 donors all together, some of them staff. But there were several regular members who donated and were eligible to win. Not everyone sent money through PayPal. A few (4 I think) came through snail mail.
A few donors wanted to donate anonymously. The tool was also donated by a member and he wanted to remain anonymous. I've asked him to let me reveal who he is, but he truly is a humble person and I'm not sure he will allow me. Donations sent me to Surfaces and helped support the cost of this site. In another topic, I would be happy to go over the costs associated with this site, and they are considerably more than your estimate i not only fixed expenses of software and services, but in the amount of man hours used to develop and maintain it. It's turned into a job in itself - and you know how much I hate to work.
Anyway, glad to see this post from you. It was a real treat, honestly. I hope you'll spend a little more time with us when you can.
Regards,
TFP Admin (you know who)

Re: RAFFLE: TFP Broke The Law - Admin on the run.
Well, the staff didn't particularly like my idea, so I was forced to pic the number another way. The number is 30 and that is the member ID number of Floorguy.
Congratulations, Floorguy, you won a Senco Cordless Screw Gun in our first ever TheFloorPro.com Give-Away. Please PM me your mailing address so we can get this nice tool out to you right away.
Thank you to everyone who has followed this exploit. I'm sorry it couldn't have been a raffle. I hope we will find the support from interested parties to keep having give-aways.
Don't forget: those who donated to support TheFloorPro.com and to enter the raffle get an official TheFloorPro.com cap. I'll be getting in touch with those who qualified and donated for the raffle to make arrangements to return your money, if that's what you want.
Thank you.
