Browser won't let me in?

Got a Netscape update to DL the update from 8.1.2 to 8.1.3. I DL'ed it and it runs smoother without locking up and hogging the CPU, but... If it ry to come here, it doesn't go anywhere. It stays on the previous webpage if I type the addy into the browser, and if I try the bookmark, it opens a blank untitled page in a separate tab.

I have to use Netscape 6, to view this place.

Works fine for me on Netscape 8.1.3 and all other browsers. Maybe Nick can help.

Do you have the trust this site box checked in Site Controls ?

I may have blocked something?? But if I did that, why not netscape 6 blocked, too?

My security, pops up all the time telling me someone is trying to enter port 0 or port 80. I have it set to block everytime. Sometimes when it blocks it, it will lock down the site. I have to reboot to get things working, but not for this site, using netscape 8.1.3

Floorguy , Did you uninstall your current 8.x installation from the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs dialog before installing 8.1.3 ? Your profile information will remain intact and will be recognized by the new 8.1.3 installation .. What firewall are you using ?

I think it is a form of Mcaffe, provided from my earthlinkISP.

Yes, I installed it right over version 8.1.2

Delete both versions .. click the save profile icon when you delete version 8.1.2 .. then install the new version ..
they should have told you that when you did the upgrade .. Let me know if this solves the problem floorguy ..
I know for a fact they want you to delete the old one first , so it might be having a conflict with itself ..

Nope, it didn't help.

Uninstalled it and then when to Netscape and DL and installed it. Still the same, minus some of the newer bookmarks I had.

Does it only happen on the floor pro ? or does it do it on the other web sites as well ? the mac firewall comes with the netscape download ..

I think, I'll uninstall my security, and reinstall it, to clear anything I clicked on by accident.

Floorguy , you might want to try and call your isp .. Netscape is owned by AOL and they block a lot of sites for various reasons ..
