What's going on?

Sometimes when I reply to a new thread, it doesn't reappear on the new post. It goes back to the regular spot on the forum page. I felt guilty this morning replying to 'No Dogs' only to have it removed from the new posts after he'd just put it there. Is this something I'm causing?

No you aren't causing this. A week or so ago I changed the tracking method from the unreliable cookie method to the much better database method. Now you will only see new posts that really are new. If you have read them already it is no longer a new post and will be removed from the list. When you reply to a post the forum takes you to your post as soon as it is posted so it also is no longer a new post.

For those used to the old method they think it was supposed to work the way it did. Now that it works right some people think something is wrong. It's not. You're OK. I'm OK. Everyone is OK.

Thanks. It's always nice to know I'm OK. Now if I can convince my wife of that, I'd be on a roll.
