Not getting email from thefloorpro

It works for me I just sent myself one to check and I got a reply. Maybe if you guys pay your bills you will get them as well

Nick, do you have access to another email address, like gmail or something (not Hotmail or MSN)? Try that, if you can. You did double-check your options here, didn't you? Of course, if you have email from others turned off, others would get an error message when trying to send you email.

Rob, our very own IT specialist here, says there's not much we can do about the email problem. If an ISP is blocking email, you would have to contact your ISP and ask them why or ask them to clear it. You won't have much luck asking Microsoft to do that with Hotmail or MSN though.

I was going to take a few Valium and call comcast Monday T .. I hate MSN .. G Mail is clunky .. and Hotmail is to Hot ..

My addy for use with this site is @MSN.com (which uses the same server as Hotmail) and as far as I know, I haven't missed any emails. I got one a week or so ago about the server move.

Yes, I sent another mass email notice out after we made the move.

You could also test it by subscribing to a thread - when you make a reply, check the box to be notified when there is a reply to the topic. Or, in your UserCP options, you can choose to be instantly notified of all topics you post or reply to when someone replies to it. You can also chose to be notified of new Personal Messages.

I have set my own options to be notified whenever an email fails and, so far, Nick is the only one I get. He subscribes to messages and PM notifications and he's a busy guy, so I have gotten a lot of bounced email notifications. But not for anyone else.

Yes, DJ, that was the second one I sent out - about the give-away. And I appreciate that it's not a big deal to you if you miss an email, but it's really important to me that this site and the server we're on works the way it should. It bugs the heck out of me when I hear about a problem someone is having with the site - especially when I don't know how to fix it right off.

With Nick's help and the understanding folks at Comcast, I believe the problem is solved. Here is a partial copy of an email they sent me:

Comcast said

The IP you previously provided has been removed from the Comcast.net blocklist.

Our filters have determined that email from the IP you submitted was blocked because it sent email to the Comcast domain with patterns characteristics of spam. Mail servers are typically shared by many users so it may be the case that another party using your mail server has sent spam, even if you have not. It is important that your email administrator is aware of their outbound spam problem to avoid being blocked by Comcast in the future. When contacting your email administrator, you should include the error message contained in the email which alerted you to this problem. Taking this step now will help avoid blocks in the future.

Please let me know if you (referring to anyone) are not receiving email notifications or other mail you think you should be getting.

How about mail I'm gettin but don't wanna get, like bills.

Anything you can do for me is great. Oh and I probably would like to get some money in the mail too.

When i contacted them they said they didn't block 3rd party servers for spam .. then i got the e mail i sent you .. Send your bills to me Cp , I will put them in the fireplace with my collection ..
