Good question, Nick. That's why I split this off from the other topic. I would like to know if anyone else is not getting email from us. That would include topic subscription notifications, notification of new Personal Messages, forgotten password prompts, emails from other members sent through the email script here and any other email you think you should have gotten. If you have sent an email to another member via the email link for that member and didn't get a reply, let me know about that too.

In addition to that information, I would like to know what ISP you use for your email. Nick uses Comcast. Others that may be having problems are those who use Hotmail, MSN and others. This is a problem that has just surfaced since our server move.

I use Cox.net. I was having a problem early on with email from members i think. but that function seems to be working OK now. My reply notifications were not affected at all.

I suspect it's CP"s fault

I did send for a password while I was in Memphis and did not get a new one. I remembered it and didn't need a new one, but never got the reply. I was using the Comcast email page while there but it wasn't on OE when I got home either.

I haven't gotten one since the switch, but I didn't think about it. How bout sending come of us a test email?

But.......If an email was sent to all members after the giveaway was expanded to a full week I haven't seen such an email. The last email I have seen from TFP (with the exception of this one) was announcing the first three day giveaway. Haven't seen anything since then. I am not subscribed to any threads at this time so don't know about those type notifications.

I did not send another mass mailing to announce the extension of the give-away. I only announced it here on the site. I was chastised by our new host for sending out the last mass mailing. The number of emails that can be sent at once is 10. I can send no more than 200 in a single hour.

The bottom line is, I don't want to risk the email the forum system can send, just to promote a give-away. Even at that, it appears some members are not getting our emails.

I'm looking for another solution. It might also include offering anyone who wants it a custom email address (e.g. Bud@TheFloorPro.net, CustomSurfaces@aFloorPro.net, LoDown@Flooring-Installer.com or Roger@IDoFloors.com - yes, I own those domains and more). But my research has also revealed that difficulties in sending mail to Hotmail and MSN accounts is new and widespread. Even if we can circumvent the issues with other domains (Comcast, etc.), Microsoft controlled domains may continue to be a problem.
