You don't have a horizontal scroll bar on the bottom, do you? You shouldn't unless your screen resolution or viewport is less than 1024.

You got me pegged T. When I go to the next resolution up, I start to squint at the little print. Probably time to get a bigger monitor, eh?

Uh hu, I think you answered your own question. I knew those new smilies would come in handy.

You can get a pretty decent monitor for small money, ya know. Here's 2 for less than a hundred bucks at my favorite online computer gear store: Newegg.com - $75 - $100, LCD Monitors, Monitors, Computer Hardware I swear, you will enjoy The Floor Pro Community a lot more.

Re: Okay T

Thanks for the info Jim. I already have a 17" screen so it's looking like I'll be needing one of those big'ns that hang from the wall for watching football games. I can tell the wife it's for TFP/work related and sports on a gradual basis.

I bought an Acer 2016 20" falt panel LCD for 169.00 with a 30.00 rebate a while back. Been very happy with it. Lots of deals out there.

If I could only figure out how to do that floating screen saver Nick posted eons ago...

Unfortunately for you, the larger the physical size of the monitor, the smaller the print. It's not the same as a TV, where the resolution stays the same on a TV, there resolution on a monitor increases. I have had monitors capable of 1600x1200 and find the type way too small. I use monitors with 1280x1024 resolution and like them a lot. Same size I linked you to.

Your 17" monitor may be a CRT, not an LCD. CRTs can have several useful resolution settings. LCDs have one primary. Changing it does distort the image, although some people do it anyway. Your 17" monitor may be set to 800x600. The LCDs I pointed to use 1280x1024 without making the text size too small - a little smaller than what you have now. My monitors with the same resolution (1280x1024) is a 19" and the letter sizes are much easier to read.

Please tell me what's happening. I can't fix it if I don't know about it.
