What are Visitor Messages?
Excerpt from: The Floor Pro Community FAQ
Visitor Messages are not private, they are publicly viewable messages posted on member profile pages. To post a message, click on the 'Visitor messages' tab, and use the form at the top of the section. You will only be able to use certain formatting in these messages, as described underneath the edit box. This message will be viewable by all visitors to this profile, including guest users and search engine robots if the administrator has allowed this. To communicate privately with a member, send a Personal Message instead.
Visitor messages can be edited or deleted by site moderators or the member who owns the profile. If you see a visitor message that is not appropriate, you can alert the moderators by clicking on the 'Report' link. The 'View Conversation' link allows you to view all visitor messages between the member and the owner of the profile.

You can find this described in the FAQ section on " My Public Profile." I noticed that some members may not be aware that anyone can view these messages. They are NOT private and you should never post email addresses, phone numbers or any other personal information that might invite abuse from spammers or scammers.
Visitor Messages are a quick and easy way to post a short greeting or message to a friend. If you want more privacy or would like to have a personal conversation with a member that cannot be read by other members or visitors, then please use the Personal Messaging system (PMs). If a member has allowed PMs, you will find a link to send them a PM on the Contact Info tab of their profile, or a link to PM them from the drop-down when you click their name in a forum post.
