Double Posting

Hey, somethings messed up, and causing it to pop me back to the reply window, saying I must wait 20 seconds and I can post in 5 seconds. Then when I post, it is a double post???

I edited this from a double post and it did it on another post right before this one.

Re: Double Posting

I moved your post here so we can track down this problem. Tell me what browser you use. Are you in the standard message editor, or the enhanced one (WYSIWYG)? Can you make the problem happen the same way on purpose?

Thanks,

Jim

Re: Double Posting

The problem didn't happen to me when I posted that last message.

Re: Double Posting

I clicked QR(quick reply) Typed out my message and hit submit. It popped up the full edit window or full pot window, with a message at the top saying something to the affect " you must wait 20 seconds between posts Then a number was counting down to when I could post. When it got to zero, I clicked submit, and it brought me back to the forum, only to see a double post.

It did it to me 3 times, but the last time I didn't resubmit, I just went back and then hit reload, to see my first click did post and it did.

I'm using Firefox and in the last 3 or 4 days it has not been the same. I think there was an automatic update 3 or 4 days ago that messed up some stuff. @ Flooringinstaller, I have to use IE as I now don't have the options to post attachments anymore over there.

Re: Double Posting

It just did it again. I posting this in the reply window that popped up.

This is what it says at the top...

The following errors occurred with your submission:

1. This forum requires that you wait 20 seconds between posts. Please try again in 5 seconds.

Re: Double Posting

I'm not double clicking the submit button, lets see if it does it this time, as last night it quit after 3 times.

Re: Double Posting

I got the popup because I did too quick a post after the last one, but no double post. I have a feeling there's something wrong with your browser or maybe an interaction with your operating system.

Are you using IE or FF when the problem happens? What versions? I have FF 3.0.4 and IE 7.0.5730.11. What's the operating system?

I'm at a loss. No one else having this problem?

Jim
