"Did you notice the site was down this morning?," in the TFP Support and Feedback forum, begins: "Sorry to all of you who were frustrated because you couldn't get onTheFloorPro.com this morning. I got a few emails ..."
Sorry to all of you who were frustrated because you couldn't get onTheFloorPro.com this morning. I got a few emails asking what was up. Someone forgot to pay the electric bill.
The server is located in a building in Texas with a bunch of other servers. The power went out at a little after 7AM Pacific Time and even the backup power generator couldn't fire up. For some reason they had to restart each server separately. By the time they fixed the problem and restarted the servers, we were off-line for nearly 2 hours. I can't be sure of the exact time because I had a doctor's appointment and left here about quarter after eight - and I was worried all day.
My apologies. I decided to use my electric razor this morning instead of the disposable and wouldn'tcha know it, it blew a fuse out a thousand miles away in Texas. Oops.
