 Yes, it was spam and the link was dangerous to follow too. If anyone followed the link, they should scan their computer for malware, viruses or trojans. For some reason, the add-on I have installed here that prevents a member from posting any links for their first 5 posts (send the post to the moderation queue) didn't work. I'll look into it.
The "new member" has been deleted, the IP addresses blocked from the server (the user was from Communist China) and the topic moved to this forum.
Whenever anyone sees a post that is suspicious or offensive, you can report it to all moderators with one fell swoo... I mean click. In the lower-left portion of the message, below the user's name and info, is a whistle icon. Blow the whistle on any post you think should be reported for any reason what so ever:  . The report is sent immediately to all moderators and me with a link to the offending message.
