Back up to speed!!!
Been checking back here all morning and good to see us up and running, and I do mean running! Pages are loading almost as quick as I can click the mouse!
Great job T
Haven't found any issue yet either
Did you take some smooth move last night?

Re: Back up to speed!!!
It does seem faster, doesn't it?
There's still some issues to deal with, but I gotta get some sleep first. Been up all night and I can't even think straight.
I left a message for anyone still having trouble seeing the site on the old server. I hope that will get things back to normal.
Jim

Re: Back up to speed!!!
It definetly seems faster on my end. I had to clear history, cookies, reboot and all that jazz to get in here.

It is a lot faster, however all the text is in Spanish.

Re: Back up to speed!!!
I am glad all you are enjoying the speed of our new server. I thought it was having a lot of problems in the beginning, but as Dan implied, it was mostly my own computer that was having the trouble. I was connected to the new server shortly after we got transferred, but suddenly I was back on the old server and couldn't get back here for nearly 18 hours.
The new server facility is located in the Washington DC area. The old one was in Texas. For me, it seemed like there wasn't a lot of difference in speed from a few weeks ago, before the old server's problems. I just found out that my ISP, AT&T, is routing my Internet connection from my home in Northern California, to Chicago, back to CA and then to DC. That's ridiculous and I can't sort it out with them until tomorrow. I want the fast ride you guys are getting.

Re: Back up to speed!!!
Its faster but it is still taking about 10-15 seconds to load up from the time I click on the thread to get to the posts.

Re: Back up to speed!!!
Dan, I had to clear the history and toss my cookies but I never did have to log back in.
Jim as I told you yesterday, I clear cookies and temp internet files almost daily. When I do that on my laptop, I automatically have to log back in here. Same with my Blackberry. Not on my desktop though. I cannot remember the last time that I had to log in with my desktop.

Re: Back up to speed!!!
here is a nice free little program i run every time i log off the net to clean history [etc]. without removing your passwords .
You will be surprised how much space the temp files , [etc]. will take up on your hard drive.
This is for XP.

Re: Back up to speed!!!
Mine is faster than it has been lately, but not near as fast as it was before the recent problems. And yes I dumped temp files and cookies. I do that every couple days anyway. I know it has more content, but this loads slower than any other forum I'm on.
