Modifying posts
I notice sometimes when I visit 'Who's online' that some are modifying their posts. Is there some way to be notified of this?
Sometimes their modifications are significant to the conversation.

Re: Modifying posts
No, the software doesn't notify when someone edits their post. It would be nice if the poster put up a new message, letting others know the original message had been changed. But sometimes it's just correcting a spelling or punctuation error (yeah, I WISH) and often nothing of major significance. I think members can edit their posts for a half a day. After the post is 5 minutes old, it will show an "edited by" notation at the bottom if it's edited again.

I don't think I ever make a post that I don't have to correct for spelling, grammar.......less often for poor choice of wording. That's mostly bad eyesight, poor typing and clumsy, fat fingers. I have one bad eye and I can't see out of the other.
Sometimes I just read it and realize that people who don't know me are going to be offended. So I do some quick editing.

Re: Modifying posts
There are also those of us who suffer CRSS: Can't remember shit syndrome. I have had many a post where the brain was working so feverishly, I forgot a seemingly critical thought point and had to edit my post to add it in.
The ailment is very similar to FMTCUS: Forget to measure twice and cut once syndrome.
Having that five minute rule (isn't this along the lines of the five second rule?) saves face on many occasions. I would be so embarrassed if folks actually knew how scattered my thought process actually was

Re: Modifying posts
Sadly, CRSS effects those across many socio-economic strata and it completely non-discriminatory. Please donate generously to CRSS Research Fund. Cash is best and can be sent to CRSS Research Fund c/o Peter Kodner.
Please note your donation is completely and totally subject to taxation and will provide absolutely no benefit to you or other suffers of CRSS. I always fully intend to do good things with the money but have never failed forget to.
Disclaimer: This post is made with tongue firmly implanted in cheek. Any who actually send donation probably suffer from SPSS: Suckers for Phony Scheme Syndrome. But do not despair. I am currently working on a research fund for this dreaded affliction.
