Re: daris mulkin tool review
Peter just go to www.fcimag.com and go down to tool guide and click on full story and it will come up. It has a picture of a hammer stapler on the top.
Thanks for the compliment folks it is really appreciated coming from my peers. Jerry I've never done anything like this before and it is a really fun experience. But I'n not allowed a lot of time to do it. Its usually done in less than 5 days. Perry said he had one day for parts of his article in the last magazine. Then you have to factor in if there is a job that you can use that tool on and find it. Then if there is a problem it is all sent back to see if you can straighten it out. I seem to have a problem with pictures. The first article I didn't caption 3. This one my pictures ended up being to small and couldn't be used. So I had to figure out how to increase the size. Remember I only know how to check my emails and do the board thing. One of these days I'm going to call our friend Jim and he can walk me through all this stuff. I have pictures I'd like to post here sometime.
Thanks again
Daris

Here's a direct link to our man Daris' article: <i>FCI</i> Tool Guide - Feature Article - Floor Covering Installer
I'm thinking the webmaster there doesn't understand the function of a <title> tag, which is why you see that old italics tags in the title (<i> and </i> are old HTML italics code tags).
Anyway, have a good read - nice job Daris.

Just read it. Very good work Daris. Do you get to keep the tools you review? Sweet deal if so. I see it now: "The Daris Mulkin E Bay Gently Used Carpet Tool Shop"

Hot Dang Daris, that's a great article. Made it sound like we was just hanging out talking. Seriously Daris, you should be regular columnist. It's a gift and you got it.
Great job!

Re: daris mulkin tool review
I think Larry had a trade agreement with Daris. We use your tools, take pictures and you help me slam this rug in, and I will split it with you.

Re: daris mulkin tool review
Actually Larry waited for me to get there and he was leaving on vacation as soon as he got done. When I got what I wanted I left and got out of his way. I've known Larry probably about 35 years. He is used to working alone and won't even let you help him get the carpet in. I've tried and he says no.
Now for me to say I would recomend on tool over the other then I'm comparing. I don't think it would be fair to the manufacturer or distributor to do that. I just give what I think is a truthful appraisal of the tool. I'm also not trying to sway anybody to go out and buy this tool that it is a must have. But I do list any concerns I have.
So far in the 2 articles I've done I have 2 tools that weren't used because of problems or they didn't work. One being an electrical problem where the tool didn't even work. The other didn't perform the way it was thought to. If there are problems and I can't give a good review it isn't used. I don't want to embarrass anybody.Again you may have a totally different opinion from me for what ever reason.
Peter ebay slightly used tools. Now that is a thought I haven't thought about, but I just buy off ebay don't sell.
