My favorite tool is Danny!

But like Dobby said, Our most useful and versatile tool is our mind. It allowed me to do all the stuff I do now long before I had many of the fancier tools I have now. The creative thought process is truly amazing.

Re: What is your favorite tool to use?

At the moment my favorite tool/toy is the iPhone I just picked up this week. Next time I have a problem with a job, I can use it to snap a pic, upload it here and let Dobby use his favorite tool on it . All without leaving the job even. My brain is way overrated.

Seriously though, I love this thing. I could surf the net on my old phone (before I sat on it) but it was so user hostile that I just waited until I got home. I'm a little afraid now that I will spend all day surfing and not working.

I have a Paslode staple gun that I use primarily to install wood tackless and luan. If you do a lot of residential work, it will save you hours every week. You will never have to worry about a helper damaging baseboards or moldings swinging a hammer, you will not have to carry a bag of nails with you to install the tackless. On luan, it will countersink the staples and because you do not need a compressor, you do not have to carry anything in or worry about power on the jobsite.
