Paslode gun

I have a Paslode Impulse angled finish nailer and lately it has been acting funny and misfiring. I have taken it apart and cleaned and oiled it and, it did not help.
I called the local service center and he asked me how old the fuel cells are?
Come to find out they have a date on the bottom of each cell.
They said best if used by this time last year?
He said they have some type of air bag in the cells and they usually burst after 18 months or so.
I'm quite sure that is the problem I need to buy some new fuel cells to make certain.
I just thought this might help someone out .

Re: Paslode gun

I never knew that. I have had one for 10 years or so and never looked for date on them. Never had that problem though.

Re: Paslode gun

Paslode started doing that a couple of years ago Don. One more thing you may or may not be aware of .... storing cartridges in very cold temperatures puts a hurting on them too.
